Hourglass Face

Hello there! So this morning I was feeling inspired to do a one product face. I almost got there, with the exception of a little brow product and mascara. Hourglass is one of my all time favourite beauty brands so it was an easy pick. There isn’t anything that I own from Hourglass that I do not love or use often.

I started with a little of the Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer SPF15. Sidenote – this primer is the bomb dot com. Perfectly keeps my makeup in place, some oil control and just generally keeps my face looking fresh all day. I cannot recommend this one highly enough. It costs a pretty penny but I haven’t found anything I like better especially for wearing in warmer humid weather. Then I mixed two of the Hourglass Illusion Tinted Moisturisers to get a perfect shade match. I mix two parts Ivory and one part Golden. Oh, the reason they are shaped differently is Golden is the older packaging that I picked up overseas a while back. It is far too yellow based for me, but mixed with Ivory the effect is lovely. I then added the Houglass Hidden Concealer to some areas with a bit of redness around my nose and chin. Bad, bad blogger, I did forget to photograph that one though, I have just realised whilst uploading the pictures. Face palm.

Set it all with Dim Light from the Ambient Powder Wardrobe and added some Radiant Light to bronze and Incandescent Light just to the high points on my cheeks. Luminous Flush was softly added to my cheeks from the Ambient Lighting Blush Palette. Do I need to say how fabulous these two palettes are? Or have you heard it all before? If you haven’t heard, OMG, LOVE.

Out came the still pretty new Modernist Eyeshadow Palette in Infinity. This one doesn’t seem to be getting as much love around the web as I think it deserves. The shades are well pigmented, easy to blend and well it just looks damn gorgeous. There is a bit of powder kick up in the pan but I don’t find I have a problem with fallout on the face. I used the pale shade on my brow bone, fourth shade in crease, middle shade lid and fifth shade as a bit of liner and a tiny bit just on the outer corner.

Heres where I cheated a little. I very lightly filled in my brows with Anastasia Brow Wiz in Soft Brown and applied a light layer of the Anastasia clear brow gel. Added some Chanel Inmitable Intense Mascara in Black to my lashes and we are almost done.

Slicked on some of the Hourglass Femme Rouge lipstick in Vintage and we are ready to go. Where did we go? Ahhh just about nowhere sadly today only a couple of little errands, but hey, I didn’t look too shabby picking up some Thai takeaway for dinner. Lols.

Have you tried Hourglass before? Do you slap on a face of makeup when you have no plans?
