Farm Face- Makeup Edition

Makeup Essentials for the farm

Ok, lets be real here. I didn’t need to wear any makeup hanging around at the family farm. It was 5 days of rain, sunshine, motorbikes, utes and tractors. But hey, I adore makeup and given the on/off rain and stormy weather, it gave me something to do in the mornings.

Obviously it was a pared back makeup application. No false lashes in sight. For complexion, I started with a light coverage of the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream in #33 Rose Beige. This is slightly to dark for me (more of a summer fake tan shade tbh) but a light layer worked fine. Then a quick dusting on Chanel Les Beiges Powder in #20 to keep the shine at bay and add a little glow. I took along the Nars Virtual Domination Cheek palette and dusted a tiny bit of Laguna Bronzer around the outside of my face and then usually went for a mix of Final Cut & Deep Throat for a little blush. I really like this palette to travel with. You have your bronzer/3 blushes/highlighter all in one spot, saving room for other things. In all honesty, I have other bronzers and blushes that I far prefer, but as an easy to pack/all in one spot palette, it really is fabulous.

For eyes, I went really simple. Just a few swipes of Benefits Gimme Brow and a dipped finger and smudged eyelid with Maybellines Colour Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. Finished off with Bourjois 1 Second Volume mascara.

I chose to only take along two brushes with me, and really I probably could have gotten away with just one if I was careful about dusting the blush off. For powder I used the Zoeva 106 Powder brush and blush/bronzer it was the Zoeva 127 Luxe Sheer Cheek.

In reality, I could have foregone the entire lot above. So long as I had this one.

Oooohhh, this little pot of goodness. Insert heart emoji’s everywhere. I have a couple of these little pots and I just can.not live without. My lips get super dry when out in the elements so a good balm really is a must. This is hands down the best one I have ever tried. This pot is a tinted one, By Terry Rose de Baume in Rosy Babe. It’s not the most pigmented balm in the world, but it does give a soft pink hue to the lips which just looks perfectly natural.

So that’s it for my Easter holidays face, both skincare and makeup. Tell me, do you over or under pack with cosmetics? I feel I did SO well this time. Next time….. well we will see.

xx
