Morning Cleanse

I love my evening cleanse. Taking the time to really work a product into the skin (twice! remember that double cleanse!) and giving the skin a good ‘ol massage is a real treat at the end of a long day. Is that just me? I love my night-time skin routine! But a morning cleanse? It just needs to first of all wake me up and be effortless and quick. Sunday Riley’s Charisma Crème & Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel both tick all the boxes for me.

Sunday Riley’s Charisma Crème is pulled out more often in the colder weather or whenever my skin is feeling a bit more on the drier side. I pump out about 3-4 pumps of the very light fluid liquid and massage onto a dry face and neck. It has virtually no scent to me and it feels very milky and hydrating. It almost feels like it sinks into the skin until I add a bit of water and massage a little more before removing with a washcloth. You can rinse it straight off in the shower but I feel like it leaves a little residue on the skin so I like to remove it thoroughly with warm water and a cloth. Sunday Riley’s claims of skin softening seem to be true to me. My skin always feels beautiful & soft after using this one. Containing ingredients such as milk (which I am guessing may mean lactic acid??), Acai, Vit C, Aloe, Green Tea, Chamomile, Lavender & Fruit Acids this cleanser keeps my combo/sensitive skin happy, not irritated and hydrated.

Ah, the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. What to say? The beauty blog land has talked about this cleanser incessantly for quite some time now. To be fair, blogs are how I came across the brand (love to all you Oskia fans!) and aren’t I a happy girl for that. Oskia products rate up with some of my all time favourites and this one is no exception. This gel to oil formulation is just divine. I apply 2 pumps to a dry face and massage the luxuriously fragrant oil all over for a perfect morning pick-me-up, before removing with warm water and a facecloth. You can emulsify this one a little but don’t try to just rinse this one, you need the face washer! The smell, omg, the smell, roses & chamomile make me just want to keep inhaling it. I must look like a crazy woman some mornings sniffing this cleanser but if you’ve tried it, you’ll know exactly what I mean! I use this one when my skin is feeling normal/oily or if I feel it is a little dull as the Renaissance Cleansing Gel contains pumpkin enzymes which aid in a little exfoliation along with a slew of other vitamins (A,B2,C & E) plus Omega6, Magnesium & MSM. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed & clean but certainly not dried out. In short, I adore this cleanser along with many from the Oskia range.

I have used both of these products for well over 6 months (the Oskia longer) and am onto a second bottle of each. Recently I have added a couple of other cleansers into the rotation, but these two are long time loves and they each deserve a shout out as brilliant cleansers.

You can find Sunday Riley Charisma Crème at Mecca Cosmetica & Cult Beauty and Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel also at Cult Beauty, Look Fantastic, Beauty Bay along with worldwide shipping from Oskia London themselves.

Have you tried them? What’s your favourite cleanser to use in the mornings?
