Empties #3

Ready for some trash talk? Empties and Favourites are two of my types of posts to read. They’re (usually) free from bias and the products have been used more than the obligatory couple times and the writer has a good feel for what the product does or does not do for them and to be perfectly frank, sometimes you just want a quick couple of lines about a product performs rather than an entire post. Not that they are undeserving of individual review, but you get my drift!

First up is the La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser. Gosh this is a great cleanser. Perfect for even the most sensitive-skinned out there. I usually use this when my skin is in a state of irritation or it is also the most perfect makeup remover/first cleanse. It takes it all off (including eye makeup) with no scrubbing/pulling/tugging at all. The consistency is like a cream, but almost has a cooling gel effect to it also. The instructions say it can be used without or without rinsing (huh??) but I would recommend removing with a damp face cloth.

Cleanser number two on the block is a divine jar of pure goodness, it’s the Omorovicza Thermal Cleansing Balm. Oh my word. On first glance it doesn’t look too appealing as it’s black. When applied to the face it melts into the most sensational face balm I’ve ever used. Whenever I’ve used this I spend way too long at the bathroom sink massaging and massaging and then I usually leave on for a couple of minutes kind of like a quick mask before using a face washer to remove. My skin feels baby soft after this one and I’m so sad my jar is empty. Sobs. Mecca in Australia now stocks this, but I have bought o/s from Feel Unique or Look Fantastic as the price is cheaper and they are forever sending out emails with 10,15,20% off discount codes. Don’t be a fool and buy it full price. Not saying it’s not worth it, but save those pennies where you can!

Another that is a good idea to pick up from o/s sites and wait for a discount code is the By Terry Baume De Rose. If this is not the most perfect lip treatment I don’t know what is! I’ve tried many balms but this one is the one. Delicately fragranced with rose it deeply nourishes my lips overnight and….and…..I just love love adore it.

Tata Harper, Queen of the Cleansers in my book. Aaaaages ago I bought a Tata Trial size kit and the Hydrating Floral Essence was a part of this. While this spray toner smelt gorgeous and really did help with hydration I don’t see myself buying a full size of this one as I previously thought I would . There’s a number of spritzes on my wishlist I’d like to try and I already own a couple that I love and are not as expensive as this one. I love that I got to try this in a trial size, but for now I think I’ll just stick with the Tata cleansers, cause I just can’t get enough of them!

Another brand another trial size. This time it’s the Radical Skincare Advanced Peptide Antioxidant Serum. I received this in a Beauty Loop Box (loyalty program) from Mecca Maxima and though it was only an 8ml size, I got a decent number of uses out of it. It is hard to say the long term benefits of using this serum as I while I did get a good amount of uses out it, it was not enough for me to definitively give an opinion. There is quite a lot of information on the Radical Skincare webpage and it’s worth checking out if you have some cash to splash on an anti-aging serum. Radical Skincare is most definitely on my radar and I have a couple of little sachet samples of their products I’ve collected so I’m interested to see how these work for me too.

Last, though not least, is an Australia made toner/mist and it’s the Kosmea Hydrating Rosewater Mist. I picked this up randomly in the Pharmacy one day and I am so glad I did. I have done a mini-review on this before which you can read here. Smells like roses, really hydrating and under 20 bucks (aussie dollars for any of you US/UK who just kind of freaked – yes, that’s pretty cheap here!). Will I buy again? Yeah I will!

So that’s all the empties I have today – actually since photographing these a week or so ago I do have more, but I’ll save them for another time.

What’s the last product you emptied? Did you like? Will you re-buy? Tell me all about in the comments xx
