When it comes to fragrances I’m, with very few exceptions, firmly in camp floral. Candles, perfumes, body wash/cream, air freshners….yep, love a good floral. Tell me it smells of Gardenia, Jasmine or Camellia and I’m halfway to loving before I’ve even sniffed it. So when browsing the travel sized scents at Mecca a few weeks ago and I came across Tocca Florence it was a forgone conclusion it would be coming home with me.
This fragrance is literally springtime in a bottle, very appropriate seeing as though Spring has hit here in Sydney and I’m running a little low on my two other recent favourites (Byredo Blanche reviewed here, and Aerin Gardenia Rattan reviewed here). I was in the mood to try something new and the fact I could buy in a decent 20ml travel size to trial it I was a happy girl!
Now because I’m absolutely rubbish describing scents I’ve lifted the scent notes direct from the Tocca site (sneaky, sneaky)
Top Notes: Italian Bergamot, Grapefruit Leaves, Green Pear, Apple
Middle Notes: Ivory Gardenia, Crushed Violet Petals, Jasmine, Tuberose, Blue Iris
Bottom Notes: Blonde Wood, White Musk
In terms of longevity I’m quite surprised how long this scent lingers on as the travel sized version is an Eau de Toilette and it seems only the full size is an Eau de Parfum and I would describe it as a soft floral. I think it’s fair to say a full size of this bottle of heaven is in my future. As well as probably the candle and oh my gosh…they even do a laundry wash! That might be a little overkill…Maybe?
Do you have signature scent or do you change with seasons or just with your mood?
