Favourites December 2015

Here we are. 2016 has arrived! So let’s take one final look back at 2015 with my December faves. December looks to be more skincare heavy rather than makeup but in reality that’s because a lot of my makeup faves either haven’t changed or I’ve switched up products too often to deem anything a bonafide favourite.

December 2015 Beauty Favourites

Wayne Goss Holiday 2015 Brush Quite possibly one of the softest brushes I have ever had the pleasure to use. I don’t use this brush to apply any powders in particular, but more as an all over blending brush to ensure my makeup is as blended and seamless as possible. Actually, I tell a lie, I do apply a little finishing powder with it also. So soft. So soft. Did I mention how soft it is?

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Sheer Rose Tint – A December handbag staple. With the weather warming up and spending more and more time in the summer sun a good lip balm with a sunscreen in it is essential (SPF 15). With just a hint of a tint the Fresh balm is decently long lasting and I reckon I’ve applied this at least once everyday lately while I’ve been on the go.

This Works Sleep Plus Pillow Spray – I don’t think I’ve missed a single night spritzing this on my pillow since I first started using this month. Put simply – this really does work. I’ve only got this little sample which is seemingly still going strong and will hopefully last until my order of the full size bottle arrives.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul – A sort of recentish addition to my makeup drawer it was definitely a blogger enabled purchase. I normally go for much more pinky/mauvey blush tones which this most certainly is not. This is far more peachier/orange/bronze and it does require a little building up to achieve a good payoff. Very natural looking and quite luminous without being sparkly. Very summer!

Glam Glow ThirstyMud – It took me a long while to get around to trying this after hearing Beautylymin raving about it for ages, but I am so happy I finally did! This mask (I actually use as an overnight treatment/night cream) is supremely hydrating and smells of coconuts, summer and holidays. I wake up to plumptious (is that a word?) skin that’s all hydrated and glowy. Yay Glam Glow, I’m going to have to try some more of your masks!

Herbivore Blue Tansy Mask – I honestly can’t rave about this mask enough (review here) It truly is an all-in-one wonder mask! 2016 is the year I’ll be trying a lot more from this gorgeous brand.

Omorovicza Hydra Melting Cleanser – Another skincare product that I’ve recently reviewed (here) and one that I’m totally in love with. Scent, texture, performance….It’s a hard one to beat! Definitely a spendy one, so I’ve linked to Look Fantastic as they pretty much always have some kind of discount code happening (anywhere from 10%-20% off).

Ella Baché Water Source Cream – Oh em gee. Early in December I had a facial at an Ella Bache salon (thanks mum!) and while my therapist had applied a face mask as well as an eye mask on me she started to give me a hand massage. Obviously being blinded by the eye mask, my other senses were heightened and the second she applied this cream to my hands and arms I was in scent heaven. There was no question I was walking out of that salon without my very own! Thick, creamy and ridiculously hydrating but not greasy it is the perfect dry skin reliever. Smells all spa-like but I cant quite put my finger on the exact notes (I’m so shit at describing scents – sorry!). If you have access to Ella Baché and have dry skin this is well worth a trip the local salon to pick up one of these body creams. Actually you can probably find online somewhere….try Strawberry Net if you don’t have any salons nearby.

And so concludes my last favourites for the year. Goodbye 2015 it’s been a blast, but I’m looking forward to all that 2016 may bring x
