Empties #5 Skin, Hair & Body

Empties - Skincare, Haircare, Bodycare Edition

Empties – Skincare, Haircare, Bodycare Edition

I have been on such a ‘use it or lose it’ kick lately that I have had to break my empties into two posts. Yay go me! So today is the first which is skin, hair and body and the next will be makeup. I’ve also been doing some culling so there will be an upcoming post on some skincare and makeup that’s just not cutting it for me and will be re-homed or tossed. I’m going to try and keep my rambling to a minimum as there’s a fair bit to get through so if you have any questions on a particular product please leave me a comment below 🙂

The Cleansers and Mists

The Cleansers and Mists

Vichy Pureté Thermale Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover – Not a brand easily accesible in Australia, but I picked this up from Escentual during one of their French Pharmacy sales with a big discount. It’s a really good bi-phase remover and I would definitely buy it again if the opportunity arose with a discount. But I wouldn’t be making an international order for it specifically.

Alpha H Balancing Cleanser – Nice, creamy cleanser. Great if you have sensitive skin or are just looking for a gentle cleanser. Would I re-purchase? At this stage no. But I’d keep it in mind if I ever run out of gentle creamy cleansers I’d like to try.

MV Organics Gentle Cream Cleanser – Another lovely gentle cream cleanser. This one is a really thick cream and smells rosy like most of the MV line. It feels a little more luxurious than Alpha H above, but you are paying extra for that. Would I re-purchase? Again, not at this moment. Nothing wrong with it, just lots of stuff out there to try!

Tata Harper Refreshing Cleanser – Another cream cleanser! This one however has won my heart. The scent is so uplifting and reminds me of Froot Loops. It is the perfect morning cleanse for me. Out of all the Tata Harper cleansers (and I really do like them all!) this is the one I don’t want to be without. So yes, I have a backup. Not yet opened. I have reviewed this cleanser and the others in the range here if you fancy a read.

Kate Sommerville Nourish Hydrating Firming Mist – I like this mist, but I don’t love it. The scent is fresh but it’s not my most favourite. Yes, it hydrates but I can’t really comment on the firming. I certainly noticed no difference there. Repurchase? No.

Omorovicza Queen of Hungry Mist – Definitely the queen of toner/mists this one is a winner. If only for how fancy you feel spritzing this on your face and inhaling the gorgeous scent. Yep, it hydrates and does all those things you want your face spritz to do but so does a lot of other products for far less dollars. But if it’s a little bit of luxury you want to indulge in, the Queen of Hungry Mist has you covered and won’t disappoint. Will I repurchase? I don’t need to as I have a travel size version, yet to be opened.

Tatcha Radiant Deep Brightening Serum, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Tatcha Radiant Deep Brightening Serum, Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Tatcha Radiant Deep Brightening Serum – I had the travel size of this and this is one powerful serum. In the small amount of time (around 2 weeks) I used it I did notice a change in my skin for the better. An old dark mark on my jaw faded. I am impressed with this one! Repurchase? Yes, it’s definitely on my radar and I’d love to pick up a full size soon when I get through a few others.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (sample sizes) – I have been hoarding samples of this serum from department stores for ages. So finally I asked Santa and he delivered me a full size! This is, put simply, your ‘do-all’ serum. It helps almost any issue and my skin is just so much more hydrated, clear and bright when I use this. Can’t wait to crack open my full size!

Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream, Tatcha Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream

Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream, Tatcha Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream

Omorovicza Rejuvenating Night Cream – I have spoken about this night cream here, and it really is a beautiful moisturiser. It’s rather pricey for a cream and if I’m going to spend big bucks I’d prefer it be on serums or treatments… but a repurchase (or an actual purchase – this was part of a gift with purchase) is not off the cards.

Tatcha Ageless Revitalizing Eye Cream – I recieved this travel sized eye cream with the serum above and a few other travel sized Tatcha bits for Christmas. It was fantastic to try a selection from the range. Well, it was great… now I just have to repurchase them all cause they are all so damn good! I like my eye creams thick, creamy and hydrating and this one covers all my bases. I will be buying this in the future I’m sure of it.

Oskia Bedtime Beauty Boost

Oskia Bedtime Beauty Boost

Oskia Bedtime Beauty Boost – This is a really nice night cream if you have dry/dehydrated or normalish kind of skin. I find it reasonably heavy with my normal/little dehydrated skin so I am unsure how someone with oily skin would feel about this one. It doesn’t immediately sink in and does create that kind of layer on top of your skin and it does take a while for the cream to actually settle. All in all I like this night cream, but as for a repurchase? Not at this stage.

Korres Jasmine Showergel and BodyMilk and Nivea Intensive Nourishing Hand Cream

Korres Jasmine Showergel and BodyMilk and Nivea Intensive Nourishing Hand Cream

Korres Jasmine Showergel & Body Milk – I’m just going to talk about these together. I’m a big fan of the Korres body products and this Jasmine scented one is gorgeous. Have a ever mentioned I love florals? Hehe. What can I say? The showegel cleans well. The body milk is lovely and not too heavy. The fragrance of the showergel by itself does disapate once you dry off but combining the two extends the scent and I go to bed smelling beautiful. Repurchase? Yes (and have) to the brand but I do like to try other scents from the range.

Nivea Hand Cream Intensive Nourishing Anti Dryness – I love me a nice hand cream but I’m not sharing the fancy stuff with the Mr (like he would want floral scented handcreams anyway) so we always have a couple of Nivea hand creams floating around. In his line of work, dry cracked hands are common so he likes a really nourishing hand cream to try and revive some life back into them. He also wants to feel like it’s intensely nourishing so the fact this cream doesn’t sink straight in and leaves a bit of a film on his hands is A-O-K with him. I’ve used this one before also and it’s a nice hand cream. It gets the job done, hands are quickly restored to soft and I can pick it up with the grocery shop. Wins all round.

Make Hair Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner

Make Hair Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner

Make Hair Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner – Great shampoo and conditioner combo from Australian brand Make. I’ve used a few of their lines so far and I always really enjoy them. Yes, the shampoo’s contain SLS but that doesn’t really bother me. Repurchase? One day I’m sure, but at the moment I’m really enjoying a couple of others.

Phew, I believe that’s it. Thanks if you’ve managed to get through all of this! If you’d like any additional info please leave me a comment…. or just leave me a comment anyway – they make my day! 😉 😉
