Hey lovely people….long time! I’m not going bore with you any poor excuses about why I have not posted for two weeks, let’s just say, I’m back and will try my very best to keep this space updated in a more timely fashion from now on!
After much convincing (yeah right, like I need too much persuading..lols) from Stacey of Expat Makeup Addict that I needed the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in First Love in my life I finally succumbed a few weeks ago and ordered her. And Stacey was right. I did need this blush.
Beautifully housed in classic Charlotte Tilbury packaging is the most subtle shade of Charlottes six shade blush range. As with all the Cheek to Chic blushes we have the infamous ‘nipple’ design which is designed to create a multi-dimensional cheek look. Directions are to swish your blush brush around the perimeter of the compact and apply to your cheeks from apple upwards and then go back into your compact with just the tip of your brush in the centre shade and add this pop colour to the apples of your cheeks and then blend the shades together seamlessly.
Or you can just swish your brush around the compact in both shades and apply, which is pretty much how I use this blush the majority of the time. Yep, hashtag lazy and all that.
Both application techniques give a beautiful finish to the cheeks, so really you can’t lose. Add to that, you’ve pretty much got three blush shades in one – outer, inner and mixed.
I think if you’re a darker complexion the more subtle shade of this blush may be on the too subtle side, but if you’re more a pale/light-med complexion this blush is well worth a look. I can’t fault the quality of the Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic blushes. They are truly a beautiful formula with good lasting power and stunning shades.
This blush a gorgeous addition to my Charlotte Tilbury collection and now with two out of the six available CT Cheek to Chic’s (review of Love Glow here) I just need to decide….. Which do I try next?
