Can we talk about another blush or two? Yeah, I know that I only recently confessed my infatuation with Charlotte Tilburys First Love but there’s another two new kids on the block that I can’t stop wearing either. Meet the Two Faced Love Flush Blushes in Love Hangover & Baby Love, aren’t they just adorable?!
First things first, the packaging of the Two Faced Love Flush Blushes is just one of the cutest I’ve ever seen! Add to that the heart-shaped individual compacts are colour coded so you can easily identify which Love Flush you desire in your overflowing blush drawer (I may have a little blush hoarding issue). And then there’s that logo & bunny embossing on the powders….I am truly a sucker for little touches such as a cute print.
The two shades I choose were Love Hangover, which is described as a warm pink and Baby Love described as dusty nude. I would put the shade Baby Love in the same family as the likes of Nars Doucer & Tarte Exposed, while still different it’s definitely one of those subtle shades you can pretty much wear with any other makeup look you’ve got going on. Love Hangover gives a gorgeous pink flush to the cheeks and is really quite luminous for a blush that looks quite matte in the pan.
Both of these blushes perform beautifully on me and while I don’t generally keep my makeup on for the 16 hours wear that Too Faced claim these blushes to have, I can without a doubt state that after 10-12 hours wear I can still see colour on my cheeks. The pigmentation level of these blushes are great. I start off with a light hand and quite a fluffy brush (much easier to add too rather than looking like a clown straight up!) and can build the blush a little if needed (on my fair skin, I generally don’t have too).
My one gripe with these blushes is the compact. It’s so hard to open! There’s no magnetic closure or little button to press to release, it’s literally just a plastic compact with an indentation where you are supposed to put your finger or nail to pry it open and it isn’t really deep enough and the plastic is just too smooth and quite slippy. It’s incredibly frustrating. Sometimes I must hit that sweet spot and it flys open immediately and other days I am standing there, swearing at the compact to ‘open up damn you!’. Actually the language is probably worse than that as I do have a bit of a potty mouth, but we’ll just pretend that’s what I say.
Have you tried any of the Too Faced Love Flush Blushes? Justify My Love looks like another shade I would really like….
