November Beauty Favourites

November Beauty Favourites

Happy December to all you gorgeous people! I feel like I haven’t done a favourites post for the longest time and so even if it is a little on the late side here it is! It’s quite makeup heavy this time around as I have found myself using these same products over and over during the past month. Ready to jump in?

Dior Rosy Glow, Estée Lauder Perfectionist Serum & Concealer, Max Factor Creme Puff Blush Seductive Pink

Dior Rosy Glow, Estée Lauder Perfectionist Serum & Concealer, Max Factor Creme Puff Blush Seductive Pink

Dior Rosy Glow has been my daytime blush for a good chunk of November. It’s one of those blushes that reacts with your own skin to create a natural bespoke healthy flush customised perfectly for your own cheeks. Soft and subtle, it’s far from an ‘in your face’ blush so pretty much perfect for the Spring season.

Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in Seductive Pink is more of a pinky/browned toned blush which is marbled to create a luminous glow there’s no chunky glitter or sparkle in there. Just luminosity. If I haven’t been wearing Rosy Glow, I’ve been wearing Seductive Pink.

Estèe Lauder Perfectionist Youth Infusing Brightening Serum & Concealer Longest name EVER but I don’t think I’ve used another concealer since getting this one. It’s a dual ended corrector/concealer with a liquid & doe foot applicator for the pink corrector on one end and a stick concealer at the other end. I use the pinky serum under my eyes to wipe out any darker spots and top with a slick of the stick concealer on the otherside. Now, if I am totally honest, I don’t have a really dark under eye area, so I am not sure how effective this will be for those who suffer from really dark circles, but for me this is perfect. The concealer is also great anywhere on the face for blemishes or redness and I find it lasts brilliantly for me and does not, I repeat does not crease under my eyes or look heavy and cakey. Yay… insert all the happy emoticons and jazz hands here.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Glow Palette

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champage Glow Palette sadly it looks like this one is all sold out now and for good reason. Champagne Pop (middle shade) is freaking stunning! Mix it with Pearl (left) and it’s even better. Blushed Copper (right) is way to dark for me to use as a highlight but I have used it a few time as part of an eyeshadow look and it truly is beautiful. Becca, Jaclyn Hill – well done guys. But this needs to be permanent.

The Body Shop Japanese Camellia Cream

The Body Shop Japanese Camellia Cream

The Body Shop Spa of the World Japanese Camellia Cream I can remember many moons ago being totally obsessed with The Body Shops Body Butters, but after exhausting myself with those I hadn’t bought a Body Shop cream for aaaaaaages. A couple months ago I noticed quite a lot of bloggers talking about the new Spa of the World range and when I saw the words Camellia Cream… well… I knew it had to happen. The fragrance is soft and delicate but oh boy does it linger. I can still smell it on my skin when I wake in the morning after applying the night before. I am fine with this, but if you are super sensitive to fragrance this may not be for you. But for me? I bloody love the smell of this. Oh, and the texture? Very reminiscent of how I remember the body butters – thick, creamy and hydrating but not greasy on the skin. You also get a whopping great tub of 350ml so I’m thinking this should last me a good while!

Chanel No5 Eau Première, Marc Jacobs Coconut Primer, By Terry Baume de Rose, Kate Sommerville Nourish, Dior Nude Air

Chanel No5 Eau Première, Marc Jacobs Coconut Primer, By Terry Baume de Rose, Kate Sommerville Nourish, Dior Nude Air

Chanel N°5 Eau Première I don’t know if I could count how many of these I have gone through over the years. At least 5 I would say. I am totally crap at describing fragrance but most people would have smelt the original Chanel N°5 and this is her little sister – a bit younger, fresher and softer. She still has all the inherited sophistication of her elder sibling, she’s just a little more modern. Very likely my lifetimes most worn fragrance.

Marc Jacobs Invisible Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer another product with a ridiculously long name. But just luckily it’s also ridiculously fabulous! I have already written a full review of this, so I will link it here. If you are looking for a hydrating non greasy primer this one is definitely worth a look at.

By Terry Baume de Rose Ok, ok, I am well aware that this is one very pricey little pot of balm. But do I think it’s overpriced? Well sort of. But I just love it so much that I can’t be without. I’ve tried many many little pots of balms but nothing really compares By Terrys Baume de Rose. This is not just a monthly favourite but a forever favourite. I use this morning and night and throughout the day if I am home and it keeps my lips so super soft and I’m head over heels for this little wonder pot.

Kate Sommerville Nourish Daily Moisturiser This woman can formulate a face cream! I’ve tried the Goat Milk and the Deep Tissue Repair and they are all awesome but I think this one would be my favourite yet. As much as I love the Deep Tissue I think it’s way pricey but this one definitely fits into the awesome cream for a reasonable price category. I use this either morning or night as it’s light enough for day and hydrating enough for night (with the help of serums/oils etc). If you only have room for one do-it-all face cream this one should be a contender.

Dior Nude Air Another that I have a full review on (here) and one I’ve been wearing on and off all month along with the Nars Tinted Moisturiser which I spoke about in my last favourites (spring faves post here). I’ve been using this one for when I want a little more coverage than the Nars gives. I love pretty much everything about this foundation from the simplest of applications – I like to use fingers to the coverage and the longevity. Can be worn as a light coverage or built to a medium easily and really does feel like nothing is on the skin.

Well that’s about all for today, there is one more favourite… but I’ll save that for later this week. If you want a little hint…..it’s a mask 😉
