This was not the planned first post. But a boring Sunday morning turned into a little shopping adventure. And a haul was born.
My local Myer has been out of stock of the Clarins Instant Concealer FOREVER. I had left my details with the lady at the counter in early January to give me a call if it ever comes in again. Seeing as though we are now in March I was pretty shocked to hear a voicemail on Friday to let me know they had just received a shipment and finally, finally it was back in stock. I have a massive issue with undereye concealers creasing up, so am hopeful this one might do the trick! It seems to have rave reviews all over the web…but so does NARS radiant and that creases on me like a ….
I got another shock when I arrived at the counter. The Clarins Ombre Matte Eyeshadows. I have been lusting over these ever since seeing them all over the US/UK blogs a few months back. I picked up #4 Rosewood & #5 Sparkle Grey. I haven’t tried them yet, except for a quick swatch at the shop, but I find the consistency quite different. I always assumed they were more of a cream shadow, but they are a cream to powder formulation. Pretty colours though. I’ll report back on how I get on with them.
I also picked up two other bits I had had my eye on for a while. The Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch, which is a primer that seems to have good reviews and the Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil.
Somehow, on my way out, I got stuck at the MAC counter. Hmmm, can’t imagine how that happened. I ended up coming away with another 217 brush #ultimateblenderbrush and a MAC Studio Finish Concealer Duo in NW20/NC25. I’ve never owned a MAC concealer so am interested to see how that goes. Actually, I’ve never owned a MAC foundation either. Must try to rectify that one of these days.
And as they say, that’s all folks. If anyone does read this (and really not expecting anyone to!) Do you have a favourite concealer? I own quite a few and the majority just don’t do it for me. So let me know why you love yours!
