A blush that was purchased on a whim last year has quickly become a firm favourite. Sunday Riley Blushing is just one of those perfect blushes that is easy to wear, perfectly appropriate for daytime or evening and goes with almost any makeup look that I have going on.
A light swipe is all that is needed to create a beautiful pinky glow for the day. Intensity can be built for a bit more of a dramatic look. The blush has some fine shimmer running through it and in the pan actually looks a little glitter bally but once swirled onto the cheek seems to create more of a glow. Which is fine by me, I don’t have to reach for a highlighter on a busy morning.
Blushing is something I likely would have walked straight past had I seen it in person. It is quite pale and dare I say it, bland, in the pan. It is certainly no Nars Mata Hari (blush for another day). There’s no big excitement factor to it. But that, I think, is the point for me. The soft pink gleam it leaves on my cheeks is effortless. I know it works. I know it lasts. It’s my blush crutch. A failsafe. Something I reach for when I am overwhelmed by other choices. Or just something I reach for because I love.
Please forgive the fact there are no swatches. As a bit of a newb and 2 thousand clicks of my camera later I fail to accurately reflect the colour of this blush. So I will leave you with this…. If Nars Orgasm & Tarte Exposed had a baby quite possibly they could have named her Blushing.
