Whoa, I got some trash today. I thought I would go through and give a little mini review on the lot so I can finally dump this stuff and can stop looking at it!
Clarins Gentle Eye Makeup Remover – I talked about this one in this previous post and while it smells beautiful it doesn’t really do the job of removing eye makeup all that well. Toss and no to repurchase.
Ren Rosa Centifolia Cleansing Balm – Again, I spoke about this here and this is one cleansing balm that I’m not a fan of. The fact it literally stings the crap out of my eyes if the balm happens to go anywhere near them is just a deal breaker. No to repurchase.
Clinique Take The Day Off Balm – Now this is a balm I can be friends with. Super gentle but very effective at removing all makeup including eye makeup effortlessly. The fact it is not fragranced kind of works for it and against it, as I really do like beautiful smelling products but on the other hand its brilliant at it’s job, so I can overlook that! I will definitely repurchase this, but I haven’t as yet.
Sunday Riley Charisma Crème – I have reviewed this cleanser in this post and it really is a beautiful cleanser. I like to use this in the mornings as it’s more of a milky consistency. Yes to a repurchase!
Tata Harper Daily Essentials Kit – I picked up this kit from Cult Beauty a few months back and it was awesome to be able to sample (in decent sizes) a fair few products. From these three empties I didn’t dislike the serum and moisturiser but I didn’t like them enough to warrant a full size purchase. The Resurfacing Mask was beautiful though, and I will definitely keep this in mind to purchase in the future, it reminds me of the Oskia Renaissance Mask in that it is an exfoliating mask with fruit acids and has the same feel and consistency.
Oskia Get Up and Glow Serum – Nice serum, crap packaging. The entire label rubbed off after a couple months of use but packaging aside this one was pretty nice. It did give a glow, but also was a little counter productive in that after you apply serum, you then apply a moisturiser and SPF. It smells beautiful (I have a real thing about how things smell!) and I was using it as a daytime serum a while back now but at this point it’s not a repurchase.
Sarah Chapman Skinesis Age Repair Serum – I really liked this serum. I used it for more of a daytime serum and it has antioxidents and peptides to smooth lines, promote collagen & protect against free radical damage. Passed the smell test (!) and I would definitely think about repurchasing this in the future.
Clarins Multi-Active Day – I mentioned this one before in my Project Finish It post and while I didn’t quite make it all the way through, this one has been hanging around in my cupboards for too long and any SPF effectiveness it had is likely gone. This particular cream has been discontinued by Clarins so that’s a no to a repurchase.
SK-II Stem Power Eye Cream– Along the way I had been gifted two sample jars of this eye cream through Adore Beauty and I fell in love with it. It’s pretty pricey as you would expect from SK-II and no I haven’t purchased a full size of this one…yet. It’s definitely one I’m keeping on my radar.
Dior Nude Foundation – Don’t let the picture fool you, this one is actually about 3/4 gone and I’m purging this one as I have it for way too long and I wore it a few weeks ago and let’s just it is not at peak performance level anymore. I did like this for lighter coverage but I’m not planning a repurchase. I much prefer the Dior Nude Air Serum Foundation and there’s literally a tonne of foundations I’d love to try.
Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara – Mascara isn’t really a product I stick to the same old same old. I rarely repurchase the same one with very few exceptions. While there was nothing wrong with this mascara it’s not something I need to run down the store to replenish.
So that’s all folks! Is there anything in my trash basket you’ve used before? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
