Burberry Beauty Hauling

After literally months of internal debate I finally decided that yes, the Burberry Wet & Dry Glow Shadow in Nude 002 had to be mine. I have massive love for Pale Barley so when Nude was showing up all over the place, looking all gorgeous and shiny it was inevitable that eventually it shall be mine. Now it is, along with a couple of other little items thrown in, to you know, make it a worthy Burberry Beauty Haul. Lols…. any excuse. Face palm.

Alright, so first up is the Burberry Wet & Dry Glow Shadow in Nude 002. Oh my, this is a neutral shadow lovers dream. I am all for that one wash of shadow kind of look in a shade that just works with whatever look you’ve got going on. Comparing it to Pale Barley it swatches slightly cooler. Pale Barley (I have the original – not the reformulated) is a little more bronzey wheareas Nude swatches a little more taupe. Nude is definitely more metallic and swatched wet the metallic is intensified. For reference sake I have included the Pale Barley swatch.

As a cream shadow stick addict I was delighted to see Burberry had released their very own version. I picked up the Burberry Eye Colour Contour in the shade Pale Copper 106 which surprise surprise is yet another easy to wear, one shade kind of a deal. I’m just so damn predictable. With 7 shades total in the range, all of which look beautifully neutral and classic I am bound to add another one or two to my collection. I may wait until I am at a counter though, as my stick had a little damage to the very tip. I managed to save it luckily, it must have been the very hot weather we had been having.

Next up is the Burberry Kisses Sheer Lipstick in Boysenberry 289. Already owning two shades in the original Burberry Kisses formula (Military Red – post here & Rose Pink – post here) and it being summer I though I’d try out one in a sheer glossy type of formula. I chose Boysenberry because as we all know, the sheerer the fomula, the less colour payoff there will be. I was actually really happy to find out that the pigmentation is pretty good. Sure, it’s not going to last all day, but I have no issues with reapplying lipstick and much prefer to the alternative of wearing a life sucking liquid lipstick.

Lastly, I just had to add the limited edition Burberry Spring/Summer 2016 Runway Palette in White 01. It was just far too pretty not to. Photographs really don’t property capture the stunning and intricate detail of this beautiful powder. I am not one to pick up limited editions for collections sake only, it needs to be something wearble for myself, even if I do have an argument in my head about ruining the gorgeous design. I have one of the My Burberry Highlighters from a year or so ago which is much more a gold based highlight (and heavily perfumed) so I chose the White this time around. Burberry have released a Pale Gold version also.

With the exception of one particular product (which you shall hear all about in an upcoming ‘cull’ post) I find Burberry Beauty to be one of my top loved brands and I am never (except ^^) disappointed by their offerings. Have you tried anything from Burberry? Which is your favourite higher end brand?
