A couple weeks ago I found myself with a few hours to kill up in the picturesque mountains village of Leura. It is such a gorgeous little village filled with coffee shops, restaurants and little boutiques and while I couldn’t access all of them #pramproblems I still managed to wrangle the pram into a few and pick up a few little goodies.
I don’t know what kind of sorcery L’Occitane have access to in their factories but my oh my how has no-one ever told me about the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil and Almond Milk Concentrate Body Cream? Actually that’s a complete lie. I’ve seen so many raves about these two products as well as the entire L’Occitane range so I am at a loss to understand how it has taken me this long to try the brand.
The L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil is just the most sumptuous and decadent shower wash I have tried in a long time, or like ever. I don’t know that I have ever actually had a shower oil rather just had body washes. Wow, I take a small amount on a puff and massage all over and leave the shower recess smelling incredible. Skin is soft, hydrated and I feel like I could skip a body moisturiser all together.
But I don’t. Because even more luxe is the L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate body cream. Before I rave about about this I have to admit that as stunning as the glass jar looks on top of my bathroom cabinet it really is a going to become a pain in the butt to have to dip my hand in to scoop out the cream. I’d have much preferred a different style of packaging but I can forgive it because it’s just so damn awesome. Rich and thick in texture this body cream is the ultimate in indulgence. It penetrates the skin quickly leaving not a trace of greasiness or stickiness. Probably not a cream I am going to reach for in the middle of an Aussie summer but for now and the cooler months I can feel this will be my go-to.
Both the shower oil and the body cream, either alone or together, leave the skin delicately scented. A scent that lasts and lasts. I can still smell it on myself the next morning! I am crap at describing scents, but it is a really ‘adult’ kind of scent. Not sweet or floral or too feminine. Very clean and luxe.
I flit between the drugstore or more affordable/mid range shower and body products and now and then like to indulge in something a little more special. L’Occitane is definitely on the ‘something special’ side. Have you tried anything from the range? What’s your favourite body product brand?
