Let’s start with the hair. A month or so ago I was in the Hairhouse Warehouse buying myself a GHD Curve Wave Wand and decided to grab a new Shampoo & Conditioner. Truth be told, I picked up the Make Hair Shampoo & Conditioner because I liked the pretty bottles but I have not been disappointed. This line is the Make Hair Soft and it definitely does this. A little too much sometimes, as I like a bit of texture in my hair, but if you love the soft & sleek look take a look at these. I will be picking up another line from this brand when this two guys are empty. I’m thinking the Voluminous range next!

Other skincare that I’ve been loving this month is the Pai Skincare Camellia & Rose Hydrating Cleanser & the MV Organic Skincare Rose Soothing & Protective Moisturiser. This month has seen me use quite a bit of ‘active’ ingredient serums/exfoliators and I’ve wanted to use more gentler options for cleansing & moisturising. The Pai cleanser is gorgeous & creamy will breakdown makeup as well as cleans the skin and it really does feel so hydrating, no tight skin here! The MV Moisturiser is one of the thickest creams I’ve used, you only need a tiny bit and its suggested to spritz your face with a little rosewater (or whatever spray toner you may have) to help distribute it evenly. I sometimes even add a couple of drops of a facial oil to the cream and this helps with massaging it around more easily. My skin is calmer after using this and it also helps with any redness or irritation from chemical exfoliation or just general redness.

Onto a perfume I have been literally obsessed with since I first smelt it many moons ago is the Byredo Perfumes Blanche Eau De Parfum. At first I was just dying to try it because Blanche is my name, and who doesn’t want a bottle of perfume with their own name on it?! Luckily when I smelt it I feel in love and I’d been coveting it ever since. Thanks to my wonderful partner & son I was gifted a bottle for Mothers Day so now I can be all like, this perfume was just made for me. I am absolute rubbish at describing scents but the only words that come to mind are fresh, clean, cotton. Apparently the notes are white rose, pink pepper, Aldehyde, violet, neroli, peony, blonde woods, sandalwood and musk. Whatever is in it I just want to bathe in it.

Lastly is some makeup bits and pieces that I’ve been loving. Firstly two tools – the Beauty Blender has been a staple this month and all the months. I like it for blending concealer mainly but I do also use for applying foundation and it performs brilliantly on both counts. The other is the Wayne Goss Eye Brush 16. Holy crap this brush is huge! It make very light work of a one shade shadow, which due to me liking to sleep as long as possible, is perfect for the working mornings. Literally 3 swishes and you’re done. Add to that it’s likely the softest brush I’ve ever used on my eyes. One day I will own all the Wayne Goss’s!

If you haven’t tried an Esteé Lauder Pure Colour Envy Sculpting lipstick then you just haven’t lived. Irresistable has not left my handbag since I bought it and has been gracing my lips a few times a week at least. I always leave a few (a lot) of lipsticks in my handbag and apply different ones during the day when I want to touch up, does anyone else switch it up mid-day or is that just me? But this one is the winner of the month by a mile. Creamy, satin finish with a pigment that lasts for a good few hours before needing to reapply.

Oh sugar, I almost forgot! TV Show. It’s into season 3 now, but if you were a child of the 80’s then you absolutely must give The Goldbergs a watch. It’s based on the shows creators real life family and of all the home movies he took of his family throughout the 80’s. It’s so cool because every episode ends with the old family clip that inspired each episode.  If you lived in the 80’s the nostalgia will be overwhelming at times and you will find yourself crying with laughter at some game you used to play, song you used to listen to, outfit your mum used to wear…. (hi mum, I remember all the lycra). The actors are cast perfectly and, well, just watch it you MORONS! (Watch the show, you’ll understand 😉
